Do You Prefer To Be Right Or Happy?

You have a choice;

You may try to change the world or you can just change your mind about the world.

In other words; you can try and change people or you can try and change your mind about people. (Borrowed from A Course In Miracles (AmazonLoot.co.za)).

Every judgement we dish out is returned to us ten fold.

We see people and we judge them; what we don’t realise is that by judging them we are not winning. No. We are empowering the thought. Adding weight to the ball of concrete around our neck, pulling us further and further down the into the illusionary ocean, drowning ourself. Yes all we are doing is making this psycho planet of ours more real. (Stuff that).

Then we feel guilty.

Subconsciously we feel so bad, but we have no idea why we feel so guilty. And then we make up by being sick, miserable, or getting involved in accidents. ‘Why?’is the pathetic question we ask.

Part of the deception of the ego is that when people judge others and believe they are right, they sometimes feel good temporarily, because they have managed to project some of their unconscious guilt onto someone else. Then a couple days later, without knowing why, their unconscious guilt – which once again they have no idea about catches up with them and they …..” (The Disappearance Of The Univers. (AmazonLoot.co.za))

The idea I am getting is that all our crap is just in our minds; it’s not the world or the people we don’t like. It’s our guilt we don’t like and we project it on others who are asking for help and healing……

Are you also overlooking the truth?

To interpret error is to give it power, and having done this you’ll overlook truth. Every loving thought is true. Everything else is an appeal for healing and help. No response can be appropriate except the willingness to it do him, for this is only this is what he is asking for. ACIM

In order to be happy we don’t have to be right. Choose to be wrong.

Choose to become harmless, and helpful. I am not suggesting weakness. Stuff that. Just harmless and helpful thoughts. Because our world will not change by you taking sides, by you judging others.

Until we have chosen…… you and I will get what we have always gotten….

.. a return ticket to psycho planet, or some place similar. It’s time to get of the unmerry-go-round. (The Disappearance Of The Univers. (AmazonLoot.co.za))

I am getting off. And you are invited.

Have Fun

Why Is Bling Such A Magnet?

The ego asks us to search for more bling. And as soon as we got used to that bling we are not satisfied. And we search for more. Remember that feeling when you go a new car. Everyone looked at you and you felt great. Then after awhile you and the onlookers are used to your new car. The ego tells you to wakeup. The ego makes us believe bling is the answer.

By chasing bling need money and we create banks that make money out of us while they invest nothing, we need prozac and we make pharmaceutical companies that sell us products that are less useful than the placebo. We have to read the lastest gossip stories and we make the market for newspapers that tap our phones to get intimate details of our darkest moments.

And then we have the audacity to say, “how bad are they, can you believe it”. What we miss is that you and I created these monsters.

I am reading A Course In Miracles and decided to also read A Return To Love by Marianne Williamson. She wrote the book on her experiences on A Course In Miracles. Great books. Let me share a quote with you that I believe is relevant:

When we are motivated by the desire to sell, we are only looking out for ourselves. When we are motivated by the desire to serve, we are looking out for others.

I choose to serve others. And I am willing to take the risks of being a servant. Because when I serve my clients I will have peace; inner peace. And who amongst us are asking for more than inner peace?
Back to my opening paragraph; if you and I choose to serve; choose to lookout for others then we are on the high road. I am looking out for you.
Have fun

Are You Ignoring The Pong?

Morpheus: This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill – the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill – you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit- hole goes.

Morpheus: What you know you can’t explain, but you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life, that there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad.

Morpheus: I’m trying to free your mind, Neo. But I can only show you the door. You’re the one that has to walk through it.

Commander Lock: Not everyone believes what you do Morpheus. Morpheus: My beliefs do not require them to.

Just because you do not know the source of a smell, doesn’t mean there is not a stink in the room.

What does all of this mean? For me it’s the fact that we are being kept as slaves by our governments and banks because we are ignoring the pong although we we know the place stinks. For example: the banks and governments are there to serve us. Then why do you have to beg them? Why do you have to afraid of them? And more.

I am reading book called Violation Tickets: Never Pay Another. It’s more than a book on traffic tickets and the above is quoted in the book. To further wet your appetite here’s another quote from the above mentioned book:

Frederick Douglass:

Where justice is denied, where poverty is enforced, where ignorance prevails, and where any one class is made to feel that society is an organized conspiracy to oppress, rob and degrade them, neither persons nor property will be safe.

A concern I have; the ultimate ignorance is the rejection of something you know nothing about and refuse to investigate.

– Dr. Wayne Dyer

I suppose I should not be worried about your ignorance (or not); the real issue is if I refuse to investigate. But I can ask you to come along and let’s find ways to become free and not ignore the pong. And I suggest you do. Why? Because of statements like these:

The actual process of money creation takes place primarily in banks … bankers discovered that they could make loans merely by giving their promise to pay, or bank notes, to borrowers. In this way banks began to create money. Transaction deposits are the modern counterpart of bank notes. It was a small step from printing notes to making book entries crediting deposits of borrowers, which the borrowers in turn could ‘spend’ by writing checks, thereby ‘printing’ their own money. – Modern Money Mechanics, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago

If the banks can create money out of nothing why do they take your home when you cannot pay?

You’ll find many answers to your questions and more enslaving quotes in the free book by Mary Elizabeth Croft @ SpiritualEconomics (see her book on the right margin of her website). Or Veronica Chapman’s book Freedom Is More Than A Seven Letter Word or download it as a pdf.

When you have read the above books and your are interested in more books on your own freedom then let me know. Or just go and visit the Freeman Society. For a South African view of traffic tickets and our own freeman forum go here.

Are You A Coffee Kinda Person?

In the book How to Catch and Live Your Dream Ron Rubin and Stuart Avery Gold share the following:

…… all who wish to flee the tyranny of coffee crazed lives and escape the frazzled fast-paced race-to-stay-in-one-place existence that it fuels. ….

we have come to learn that coffee is about speeding up and losing sight of, while tea is slowing down and taking a look.

Because tea is not just a beverage, it’s a conscious altering substance that allows for a way of getting in touch with and taking pleasure from the beauty and the wonder that life has to offer.

Well, my intention today is not to stop your coffee-drinking habit.

All I am asking for is that you consider tea; the slowing-down-time – the ritual – with friends, nature and beauty. All I am asking is for you (us, humanity) to re-consider the race for more. Because I believe we have enough.
You are enough. You don’t need to find more. All you need to find is yourself. And the life where you need a coffee -kick-start-to-face-the-race is out dated.

A few days ago I read this article by Umair Haque called Is a Well Lived Life Worth Anything?

Instead of an “energy industry,” I see a resource addiction that saps money and preserves self-destructive expectations. I see, instead of food and education “industries,” an obesity epidemic and a debt-driven education crisis. Instead of a pharmaceutical industry, I see a new set of mental and physical discontents, like rates of suspiciously normally “abnormal” mental illnesses and drugs whose lists of “side effects” are longer than the Magna Carta. Instead of a “media industry,” I see news that actually misinforms instead of enlightening — rusting the beams of democracy — and entertainment that merely titillates. Read the rest of this thought provoking article here.

Today I am reading and learning and drinking tea. May we meet, drink tea and discuss Is a Well Lived Life Worth Anything? and you.

Have fun

BTW: I enjoyed Is a Well Lived Life Worth Anything?. It’s written by a clever man and I am dreaming of one writing such articles. After all the compliments; when you read it you may miss one issue and that’s our obligation to be of service to others.

Who Won When An Infamous Man Was Revenged?

Fools By JON ROSCETTI

An infamous man; well known for his his bad deeds was killed a day ago. He was chased for many years. He did really bad things. And he is responsible.

But when do our actions become revenge?

I had to go and look at what revenge means:

  • The action of inflicting hurt or harm on someone for an injury or wrong suffered at their hands.
  • The desire to inflict such retribution - it was difficult not to be overwhelmed with feelings of hate and revenge

In order to define revenge strong words like hate are used.

I thought why not ask for some wisdom from wise people; this is what they had to say about revenge:

Revenge is profitable, gratitude is expensive
    Edward Gibbon quotes (English Historian1737-1794)

A man that studieth revenge keeps his own wounds green, which otherwise would heal and do well
Francis Bacon, Sr. quotes (English Lawyer and Philosopher1561-1626)

Revenge is sweet, sweeter than life itself – so say fools
    Juvenal quotes

There is no revenge so complete as forgiveness.
    Josh Billings quotes (American Humorist1818-1885)

He that studieth revenge keepeth his own wounds green, which otherwise would heal and do well.
    John Milton quotes

I am by no means a pacifist. I will always protect. If the bad attacks, I will defend. And if I have to attack in order to defend then I will do that.

I believe war is a crime but it’s better to sacrifice a life in order to protect the good than being passive.

But when does it become revenge?

I believe we all carry a cross; the more you hate and discriminate the heavier your cross becomes. But the more you forgive and share goodwill the lighter your cross and the cross of humanity becomes. This reminds me of the following story:

Two monks were walking many miles to their monastery. After days they came across a river. At the edge of the river was a beautiful but scared young lady. She wanted to cross the river but could not. After some deliberation one of the monks picked her up and carried her and let her safely down on the other side of the river.

For the next two days walking, the one monk never stopped complaining about the sin that was committed. Monks are not supposed to ever touch women. Eventually after a painful walk with constant nagging the sinful monk said to the other, “I picked the girl up. Two days ago I put her down. For the last two days you have been carrying her”.

Are you carrying revenge, hatred, jealousy on your cross?

Or are your choosing to forgive?

The issue of who won is not important. What is important is what you decide to carry on your cross?
